What You Need to Know
The quality of your printed project begins with your artwork. We recommend camera-ready and digitally produced art for the cleanest, sharpest imprint. Your graphic designer or advertising agency can supply this. In some cases our suppliers will set copy and do light touch-ups at no extra cost.
There are many variables to art requirements. We will attempt to cover the most common ones here.
Promotional Products and Clothing
Embroidery – This process requires a “digi” (digitized) file, sometimes referred to as a DST file. If you have had embroidery done previously you may already own a digi file. If not, we are pleased to provide one at a reasonable cost.
Art for digitizing may be supplied in PDF, JPG, TIFF, GIF, BMP formats, with a minimum resolution of 72 dpi. A good quality scan of your image is sometimes acceptable.
Screen Printing - Artwork for screen printing must be supplied in vector format. EPS, .AI and PS formats are usually acceptable. Fonts must be converted to curves or outlines. Images should be 300DPI or better at the size that they will be printed. Print ready PDF files are sometimes acceptable, but cannot be modified or resized by the screen printer. JPG files are sometimes acceptable.
Not acceptable are scans of business cards or brochures, faxes, MS Publisher files, MS Word art.
